Natural site St. Iliya

Description:
- It is located about 30 minutes walk from the village of Kosti. It has the status of a protected area under the Birds Directive of the European Natura 2000 network.
- Magnificent are the 14 centuries old Strandzha oaks (liars), located in the cult bark. Among them is the small chapel with the holy spring “St. Elijah”.
- Nearby is the oldest Bulgarian reserve “Silkosia”.
- Also very close are situated the protected areas “Gorna Elenitsa”, “Natural deposit of heather”, “Kalkata”, and a natural landmark cave “Maharata”.
