Description:
- The Tsarnogorovo (Black Forest) area is located about 4 km southeast of the town of Malko Tarnovo, around the Tsarnogorovska River.
- It is one of the most beautiful places in the region, a favorite place for recreation of the population of Malko Tarnovo and the guests of the city.
- Since the middle of the 19th century, on the day of the Great Mother of God (August 28), the traditional Chernogorski Fair has been held here. Together with the fair in Delievo (now in Turkey), the two fairs were the most famous in the past and were attended by people from all over Strandzha Mountain.
- After 1992, the the Chernogorski Fair is part of the Summer Cultural Festival of Malko Tarnovo Municipality.
- The area is easily accessible and offers opportunities for picnics, tents, and is a suitable place for families with children.
- There are benches and tables, and in the immediate vicinity there is a spring with cold water.
- In this place you can often see the typical for the region Strandzha false oaks.
- A large chapel of the Holy Mother of God was built here, which is considered to be the guardian of Malko Tarnovo. The water from the spring near the chapel is healing.
